Suffolk-born singer-songwriter Ady Johnson’s music blends folk and Americana with blues, rock and indie influences, all rooted in classic British songwriting. He has toured extensively across the UK, France and the US, supporting artists including Scott Matthews and appearing at festivals such as Latitude, while also receiving national radio airplay, with support from BBC Radio 6 Music.
The latest album, Under Gainsborough Skies, draws on the spirit of the 1960s folk revival, presenting a collection of intimate live studio recordings captured with minimal overdubs and a focus on performance. The songs explore themes of memory, time and a sense of place, shaped by personal experience and reflection.
